Slightly under 1" height. English or French (Norman). Gilt bronze, tear or inverted leaf shaped with elaborate scrolling borders in the Baroque style. The center as three hanging pendulant forms, perhaps clubs, comprising a family armorial device and identifying the wearer. The pendant of a noblewoman incorporating motifs from her family coat of arms. Made by the open mold casting process. An armorial device in abbreviated form (as opposed to a full coat of arms) as used on shields, horse bards, etc, by nobles and royalty. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored. On a gilt Sterling silver neck chain for modern wear. Jewelry gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity.
