Description

Silvered bronze, an elegant example over 1 3/8" height with the cross beam centered and each beam expanding toward the trilobate ends. That form was later modified to become the Maltese Cross of the Knights Hospitallers in the 16th century. The front with remnants of incised details and the surface textured overall from burial. Professionally refurbished with the silver surface restored on Sterling silver neck chain for modern wear. Gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
