Late 9th-early 11th century AD, about 1000 years old. Silvered bronze, rare wearable size 8. Broad band 4.7mm, with flat face incised by hand with a medial stipple band. Fine form, and wearable. Vikings exchanged rings on the pommel of the groom's sword. Surface textured from burial. Professionally refurbished with the pure silver overlay restored.
