Description

Gilt bronze of highly decorative form suggesting that it was made for a Clan Chief. Over ¾” (0.79”) height of cusped form. The sides indented with nubs, which along with the pointed tip, form a trefoil, a favorite Viking spiritual symbol. The field inscribed with a trefoil as well. Surface lightly textured from burial. Professionally refurbished with 24karat gold surface restored and mounted on an 18” gilt Sterling silver neck chain for contemporary wear. Jewelry gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity.
