Description

Gilt bronze, size 1 3/4 for wear between the first two joints of the small finger. 2.6mm band flaring to the foliate decorated shoulders. Raised oval bezel inscribed with a cross on a saltire. The result is an eight spoke wheel and the center is depressed specifically representing the hub. This is a well known blend of pagan belief carried on after conversion to Christianity. The Wheel of Fortune (Rota Fortuna) which determines destiny and can bring good fortune is made of Christian elements. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold overlay restored.
