Description

17th-18th Century, Orthodox rite. Silvered bronze. Charming example just over 1 1/2” (1.56”) total height. Raised border delineating the cross with broad beams, the cross beam above center and enclosing a stick cross with Cyrillic inscriptions at the terminals. Reverse with a similar cross with Cyrillic inscriptions. The outside edges in flowing baroque elements. Surface lightly textured from wear and burial. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored and on an 18” modern gilt sterling silver neck chain for contemporary wear. Jewelry gift boxed with Certificate of Authenticity.
