Danelaw England. Gilt bronze, size 5 3/4 for the small finger as was the custom. 3.2mm width, with a raised rounded ridge in the middle. Made with a central core to distribute the molten metal and heat. The core was then laboriously removed by hand with the remnants still visible. Surface textured from burial. Professionally refurbished with the silver surface restored. Gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
