Title: Oil painting Sunset over the field Oleksiy Ivanyuk Description: No.AAA5587The Oil painting Canvas titled “Sunset over the field” radiates warmth, energy, and a striking interplay of shadow and illumination, capturing the transformative beauty of a rural landscape bathed in the last glow of the day. Through bold brushstrokes, thick impasto textures, and an expressive palette of oranges, yellows, purples, and fiery reds, the painting communicates not only the visual spectacle of sunset but also its emotional resonance—the sense of stillness, nostalgia, and quiet majesty that evening brings to the countryside. At the heart of the composition are haystacks, monumental in their earthy presence. Rendered in tones of golden yellow, burnt orange, and deep russet, they stand as both practical elements of rural life and as timeless symbols of harvest and abundance. Their surfaces are sculpted with thick paint, giving them weight and tactile reality, while their pointed tops stretch upward like natural spires against the evening sky. These haystacks glow with an almost inner light, reflecting the sun’s fading rays and anchoring the entire canvas with a sense of solidity and permanence. Surrounding them is a sea of fields, painted in vigorous strokes of ochre, sienna, and golden brown, suggesting tall grasses swaying in the wind. The movement of the brush echoes the rhythm of nature itself, conveying both vitality and calm. This textured surface seems alive, shifting between patches of shadow and brightness, a reminder of how evening transforms every detail into something extraordinary. The land is not flat but rolling, alive with subtle variations of hue that suggest depth and continuity, drawing the viewer’s eye further into the composition. The background reveals a row of trees, their dark, dense silhouettes contrasting with the brightness of the fields. Painted in strokes of deep green, indigo, and shadowy purples, the trees stand like guardians of the horizon, dividing the earth from the sky. Their forms are softened by the fading light, becoming almost abstract, as if they are dissolving into the twilight. Between them, glimpses of fiery red and glowing pink emerge, hinting at the lingering afterglow of the sun. These flashes of light, painted with almost electric intensity, bring dynamism to the canvas, suggesting both the end of day and the promise of renewal.
