Vintage 14kt & Sterling Men's Smoky Topaz Ring, Sz. 13, Hand Made, 1960's-After. Chunky statement ring. This has a large rectangular appx. 12.5mm by 10.5mm smoky topaz stone set in a heavy 14kt bezel with cut corner tips. It sits on a heavy sterling base and band that is appx. 15mm down the finger and 13.5mm across the top of the finger. The band on each side of the stone has a three band, triangular design of thick 14kt gold rays that end at the base of the sterling where the stone is set and are joined at a point at the upper to mid sides of the finger. It is in a V shape. The V is appx. 14.5mm from top to bottom and made of heavy 14kt gold that are appx. 1mm wide on the side bands andaoox, 1,6mm on the heavier center band of gold. Exact thickness of the gold is hard to measure but is appx. .04-05mm thick. Under the V the silver band has a rough blackened and burnished finish. The rest of the band is heavy and smooth and shiny sterling. The band width where the gold accents are is appx. 13.5mm wide and it tapers to appx. 3.5mm at the back of the finger. It is marked 14kt and ster. It tests as sterling and 14kt with a total weight of appx. 22.58 gr. Hand made and a unique design. There is a circle open under the stone . It is not signed by the maker.
