Vintage 14kt White Topaz/Sapphire Ring, 4.20 CTW, Sz. 9, 1980's-1990's. Great as an engagement ring. This ring was sold as a white sapphire but when tested on a gem tester it seems to test more as topaz but does overlap into the sapphire range. Either way it is likely a lab grown stone which is not glass or crystal but a stone grown in a crystal in a lab with the same materials that make up the natural stone. The crystal is crown and the stone is cut from that crystal the same as is done with natural stones - it is not a molded stone. It is appx. 10.5mm by 7.5mm and appx. 6mm in depth. Set with corner prongs. The ringis marked 14kt (yellow gold) and tests as 14kt with a weight of appx. 3.65 gr. It is not signed by the maker. Very good cndition. Stone is very clear, no inclusions which is also indicative of a lab grown stone. (W51124.16X5 SS13985 J LD 5/28/24)
