Vintage Sterling Engraved Cross Necklace with Rhinestones, 18", 1940's-1950's. The cross is appx. 1.25" and .75" with etched or engraved ray like accents on the face of the cross and rhinestones set into the cross on all the tips of the cross. The chain is marked sterling on the older style spring clasp. It is appx. 1mm wide. The cross and chain test as sterling with a combined weight of appx. 4.77 gr. It is not signed by the maker. Very good condition other than oxidation that will easily polish away. The rhinestones have the older cut with the short table which also date it to mid-century and earlier. I have lightly polished it after the photos and it looks much shinier and does really bring out the older look to it. The chain could use more polishing. It is not signed by the maker.
