Vintage Carved Bone Elephant Necklace, 26"-28", 1960's-1970's and after. Made in India. This is a large pendant with two elephants carved in bone and set in a beaded-like bezel. the pendant is 2.5" wide and 1-7/8" t all with bail. It is slightly over 1/2" thick. It is on a 2mm round black laminated cord with silver tone lobster clasp and extender chain that allows to to be 26" or 28". The cord is modern and the pendant is post mid-century of the 1900's. The metal bezel on the pendant is a light gold tone. I remember these being very popular back then and they are still being made. Very good condition - it is a rustic type design. It is not signed by the maker other than the original tag that is on the back. (W31123.1X1 SS10239 J LD 4/15/23).
