Vintage .835 Silver Spiral Scalloped Brooch, 1940's, Signed with an A. .835 silver was an alloy popularly used in Europe. You often find this mark on antique jewelry and flatware from countries like Holland, Germany, Belgium, and Nordic nations, where it served as a common. T he weight of the brooch is appx. 12.50 and it does acid test as having silver content. This has five textured and smooth scalloped leaf-like design on the outer edge with open work spiral wave-like designs doming u to the top where there is a smooth half-round silver bead at the center.
