Vintage Butterscotch Bakelite Beads on Chain, with tassel Drop 18". Fifteen beads that are each appx. 17mm by 14mm strung on a chain with no clasp. In the center a beads a 1" bead wit ha recessed center drops that has a tassel on the end. The drop with tassel is appx. 3" long. It is a amystery with not having a clasp. However, I found about six others and one exactly like this one that are the same. I am not sure how it is worn perhaps the chain hooks at the color somehow so that it doesn't go around the back of the neck - I'm not sure but it definitely will not fit over your head . Bakelite tassel necklaces are out there but not sure why they don't have a clasp and many listers of these don't point that out - I was hoping to find a reason or how it is used without a clasp. The beads were tested and are bakelite. 1940's. (W31123.1X1 SS10225 J LD 4/10/23).
