Description
This is a beautiful vintage Bone China set of one Coffee/Teacup with Saucer made by Hammersley in England.
The set is in the famous Lady Patricia pattern.
The Lady Patricia pattern was one of Hammersley's most popular, and is increasingly hard to find.
It's decorated with lots of delicate gold gilding and colorful flowers.
The set shows precision craftsmanship featuring gold rims and charming flower bouquet on white background.
Each piece is signed by artist - F. Howard.
There are different flower bouquet at the different pieces of this pattern.
The set includes:
1 (one) Coffee/Tea Cup - 3 5/8" in diameter at the rim and 2 3/8" tall
1 (one) Saucer for the cup - 5 3/4" in diameter.
The set is in excellent condition - it has no chips and cracks - please refer to the pictures.
It is possible to have some minimal utensils marks and some very minimal crazing or gold loss, if any.
Just imagine your special table set with these beautiful pieces. A party makes an elegant statement when set with antique porcelain.
Hammersley and Co. was founded in Stoke-on-Trent in 1887 in a plant that had previously operated under the name "Harvey Adams & Co".
Hammersley continued producing fine bone china dinnerware tableware known for its elegance until the end.
The company was purchased by Copeland (Spode) in 1966 who, in turn, was purchased by Royal Worcester in 1976. Fine bone china tableware continued being produced under the Hammersley name until 1988..
