This is a gorgeous Set of one Coffee/Tea cup and Saucer, from the Royal Doulton in their famous Glamis Thistle collection - Made in England.
This pattern has been discontinued, it was originally manufactured between 1942-1958
Royal Doulton’s renowned artist, Percy Curnock, designed this lovely pattern that features Glamis Thistle on a pure white background with a gold band.
All of the pieces of this pattern were signed with artist signature
The set is properly marked with green Royal Doulton backstamp as well as the brown stamp Glamis Thistle H 4601 R 1938
The set includes:
1 (one) Coffee/Tea Cup - 3 1/2" in diameter at the rim and 2 7/8" tall
1 (one) Saucer for the cup- 5 1/2" in diameter
It is beautiful and will make a wonderful gift or will be a great addition to any vintage china collection.
Serving dinner from this highly collectible, iconic pattern will turn every gathering into a memorable occasion.
The set is good condition with no chips, cracks or crazing.
May show some utensils mark and signs of gentle wear consistent with normal use, as well as some gold lose.
