Ding Kiln Ewer, height 19cm, diameter 13.5cm. A product of the Song Dynasty Ding Kiln, a fine northern white porcelain used as a study or wine vessel. White porcelain body with smooth glaze white with a touch of green, "tear mark" characteristics and partial earth infiltration. Shaped as a melon ridge with a short spout, crank handle and ring knob lid, concise and smooth lines, a typical representative of the "elegant and simple" style of Song Dynasty Ding Kiln, reflecting the "white-valuing" aesthetic. Song Dynasty (10th–13th centuries). Represents the highest level of Song Dynasty Ding Kiln white porcelain craftsmanship, a core artifact of Song ceramic "elegant culture", witnessing the prosperity of northern porcelain industry and literati aesthetic orientation.
