Description: Facsimile signed print of the iconic French advertising poster, "Parapluie-Revel," created by the Italian artist Leonetto Cappiello (1875-1942), often called "the father of modern advertising" due to his innovative use of bold figures against simple backgrounds. The poster was an advertisement for the French umbrella manufacturer Parapluie Revel, established in Lyon, France in 1851. Created around 1922, the artwork is a notable example of the Art Deco style, featuring dynamic figures with black umbrellas contrasted against a vibrant yellow background. (Although we believe this to be a vintage piece it is not the original poster from 1922.)
