Description
A rich cobalt blue ceramic vase, likely from the mid-20th century, adorned with elaborate gilt and polychrome decoration in the Neoclassical style. The vase features a central medallion depicting a classical figure in profile, flanked by cherubs, scrolling acanthus leaves, and floral motifs. There are four applied decorative handles, suggestive of grotesque masks or mythical creatures. The stopper is similarly decorated. The underside of the base shows a mark "Ginori 321.1950 8", suggesting a Ginori production from around 1950. The Neoclassical style, characterized by its revival of classical forms and ornamentation, is evident throughout this piece. While visually striking, the vase exhibits significant damage including a large chip to the base and other small losses to the applied decoration, suggesting a need for restoration.

Condition
Poor to Fair. The vase has a substantial chip to the rim of the base, visible in the photographs. There are also smaller chips and losses to the applied decorative elements and gilt, consistent with age and handling. The stopper appears to be in relatively good condition, but the overall piece requires restoration.
