Description
Barbara was a well-known watercolor artist. She lived in Fremont, Grass Valley, and Roseville where she loved to paint with friends and teach. She was a renowned artist and member of the Fremont Art Association; of the S.W.A (Society of Watercolor Artists) and the Sun City Art Club. For as long as Barbara could remember she had always painted. From her first renderings, to college major, to art teacher, to her current status as a watercolorist, art was a significant part of her life. Barbara loved to journey out into the field with her artist supplies, set up an easel and paint on-scene. This type of journey led her to travel all around the world setting up her easel. Barbara's paintings have been widely exhibited on the West Coast, including the M.H. DeYoung; The Rocky Mountain National Watercolor Exhibit and The Annual Old Bergen Art Guild Invitational Traveling Exhibit, Bayonne, New Jersey. She had numerous one-woman shows and her paintings are included in collections in the United States and Canada.
