David Scott (b. 1932) is a NASA astronaut who flew on Gemini 8, Apollo 9, and commanded Apollo 15, the first of the “J missions,” which focused on extended lunar exploration. During Apollo 15, Scott became the seventh man to walk on the Moon and conducted important scientific work on the lunar surface, including the famous demonstration of Galileo’s theory of falling bodies.
