Creighton, with mission details neatly documented on the front.
Fine condition.
John “Jack” Creighton is a retired U.S. Navy captain and NASA astronaut who flew three Space Shuttle missions: STS-51G, STS-36, and STS-48. Before joining NASA, Creighton served as a naval aviator and test pilot, gaining extensive experience flying high-performance aircraft such as the F-14 Tomcat. His test and operational background made him an ideal candidate for NASA’s astronaut program, where he later commanded missions involving Department of Defense payloads and scientific objectives in Earth orbit. This flight-flown artifact offers an early glimpse into the career of one of NASA’s veteran shuttle commanders and ties together elite military aviation and the Space Shuttle era.
