Michael Collins autographed pair of letters consisting of one typed letter signed and dated May 30, 2000, and one handwritten letter signed and dated August 21, 2002, both addressed to Michael Orenstein of Superior Galleries. The typed letter, on “Mike Collins” stationery, discusses concerns regarding forged signatures in a Spring 2000 catalog, noting that several listed items “were not signed by me.” The handwritten letter, on personal Marco Island, Florida letterhead, offers comments on a certificate and catalog description, including personal remarks and editorial notes.

Fine condition.

Michael Collins (1930–2021) served as the Command Module Pilot for Apollo 11, remaining in lunar orbit while Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first humans to walk on the Moon. A key figure in NASA’s Apollo program, Collins played an essential role in the success of the historic mission and is widely respected for his contributions to space exploration and his thoughtful reflections on the astronaut experience.
