Air Force Two – Vice President Walter Mondale Trip – Flown Cover Signed by Bookman & Matheny Letter

Air Force Two flight flown cover carried on a Vice Presidential trip from Columbia, South Carolina to Andrews Air Force Base, Washington, D.C., on March 31, 1978. Boldly signed in ink by pilot Major J.G. Bookman, USAF. Accompanied by a typed letter signed by John K. Matheny, Military Aide to the Vice President, on official Office of the Vice President letterhead dated April 3, 1978, confirming the details of the flight and cover.

Fine condition.

Vice President Walter Mondale (1928–2021) served as the 42nd Vice President of the United States under President Jimmy Carter from 1977 to 1981. A champion of government transparency and diplomacy, Mondale was instrumental in redefining the modern role of the vice presidency.
