Viktor Gorbatko and Pham Tuan autographed pair of Soviet-era postal covers commemorating the Soyuz 37 mission, including one flight-flown example signed by Gorbatko with Baikonur postmarks, and a second signed by Tuan with Star City cancellation.
This matched set honors the 1980 Interkosmos mission Soyuz 37, which marked a historic milestone as Vietnamese pilot Pham Tuan became the first Asian in space, flying alongside Soviet cosmonaut Viktor Gorbatko. The first cover bears vivid Interkosmos artwork and is signed by Gorbatko, with postal markings from Baikonur Cosmodrome dated 29-7-80 and 31-7-80, indicating it was a flight-flown commemorative cover. The second cover features matching graphics and is signed by Pham Tuan, postmarked Zvezdny Gorodok (Star City), the training base for Soviet cosmonauts.
Fine condition.
