Title:Japanese Metalwork Samurai Plate Showa Era

Size:9 ¾ in (24.8 cm) diameter x 1 in (2.5 cm) deep.

Description:A heavy and very detailed metal plate with a gold patina that is artistic and professionally done.

A heavy metal plate has been pressed in a design of a Samurai riding his horse and finished with a gold patina. There is a castle in the background with a foot soldier. Four elaborate dragons with distinctive designs encircle the rim of the plate. The back is not decorated, and you see the silver base metal of the plate.

The plate has no hallmarks or labels.

MEASUREMENTS

9 ¾ in (24.8 cm) diameter x 1 in (2.5 cm) deep. Weighs 1 lb 4.1 oz (570 g)

CONDITION

There are no breaks, dents, cracks, or chips. The gold patina has losses in a number of places. Please look closely at the photos.

A work of the Japanese metal workers art. It will add age and richness as a wall decoration.
