ABOUT THE ARTIST: Volkovinska Zinaida Volodymirivna – was born on the 24th of October, 1915 in Odessa. She studied at Odesa Art College and the Kyiv Art Institute. Teachers: Volokidin P., Grigoriev S., Krichevsky F. Worked in the field of easel painting and book graphics. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine and member of the Union of Artists of USSR. Since 1945 he has taken part in republican and all-Union exhibitions. The main works: "Thirty Thousandth" (1957); "Portrait of the underground pianist Maria Gruzdova" (1963); "Illustrations to the Ukrainian folk tale Golden Mountain" (1959); "The Tales of the Mountains and the Steppes" by Chingiz Aitmatov "(1964) and others. The artist died on the 4th of May, 2010.
