ABOUT THE ARTIST: Kashshay Anton Mykhaylovich – was born on the 24th of February, 1921 in Dubrynichi village, Transcarpathian region. Mentors: Erdely A., Bokshay J., Boretsky A., Gluck G. Worked in the easel painting industry. Since 1951 he participated in republican, all-union, and foreign exhibitions. Since 1960 – Honored Art Worker of the Ukrainian SSR. Since 1964 – National Artist of the USSR. Major works: "Winter in the Carpathians" (1951); "The Last Snow" (1957); "In the Mountains" (1960); "Still Life"; Fresh Day "(1968) and others. The artist died on the 30th of December, 1991.
