An antique hand cut crystal serving bowl from the American Brilliant Period.

Strawberry Diamond and Fan hand-cut design. Scalloped fans around the rim and then completely filled with strawberry diamond cuts toward a large 26 point hobstar enhancing the center. This 9" bowl is an excellent and fine example of this popular pattern. Imagine it filled with red delicious strawberries!

The strawberry diamond with fans pattern was a very popular design and is shown in early 1900 catalogs such as Libbey, Dorflinger, and Hawkes. More than half are not signed. No mark is found.

An excellent antique from the turn of the 20th century. American Brilliant Period Cut Glass is prized by collectors for the exquisite craftsmanship of fine quality crystal from 1876 to approximately 1920.
