In Vienna's Old Town, The Mozarthaus was Mozart's Vienna residence from 1784 to 1787.

Although Mozart lived in fourteen different addresses in Vienna, this is the only one that still exists today and now is a museum. Notable as the Figaro House with Mozart composing his most popular opera The Marriage of Figaro.

Just steps away (187 meters) is St. Stephen's Cathedral, the tallest building in Austria. As the symbol of Vienna, the St. Stephen's Cathedral is featured in media including films, video games, and television shows. The cathedral is also depicted on the Austrian 10 cent euro coins and on the packaging of the Manner-Schnitten wafer treat.
In 2008, Sarah Brightman performed a concert promoting her latest album, Symphony, which was recorded for a TV broadcast and a further DVD release in late September.

Artist Bio:

Hans Figura (Austrian, 1898-1978) was a noted painter and etcher, who was well known for his aquatint etchings on paper or satin of European and American landscape and cityscape scenes, as well as paintings of landscape and cityscape scenes, Tyrolean Alp scenes of villages and chalets, street scenes, harbor and marine scenes.

He served as an officer in the Austrian Army during WWI from 1916-18 on the Russian and Italian fronts. After the war he attended medical school eventually choosing the arts to medicine. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and by 1922 devoted himself to painting and etching.
His first major success came in 1924, when he won acclaim for his etchings exhibited in Italy and the United States. His paintings and prints were exhibited in many of the large cities throughout Europe and the United States acquired by museums and galleries, including The Kulturamt, Vienna, Austria; the Landesmuseum of Lower Austria; as well as The Society of Art Lovers, Berlin and Munich.
