Very rare vintage porcelain soup tureen by J & C Louise Bavaria.
It is stamped on the bottom J & C Louise Bavaria. In researching this mark, I found it to be associated with Jaeger & Co. Pottery. A plate being offered with this mark dates it around 1902. There are also two small numbers on the bottom 688/28. I did a Google picture search of this piece, and did not find a match. The condition is amazing, like it just came out of the factory. Pure white with small pale green designs strategically placed around the lid and top of the bowl. Note the graceful swirled handle on the lid.
