This beautiful, richly colored wall tapestry is a vintage Belgian-woven reproduction of a detail similar to a world-famous Renaissance artwork.
The piece is a fragment reproduction similar to the iconic "Hunts of Maximilian" series (Les Chasses de Maximilien), originally designed around 1531–1533 by Flemish artist Bernard van Orley. The original series, depicting noble hunting scenes for each month of the year, is held in the Louvre.
The panel is indicated on the reverse tag as Tapestry Imports, Inc. #6102, "Hawking with Emp. Max Right Panel," Woven in Belgium. The scene features noble figures on horseback engaged in a hawking expedition, set against a detailed forest and landscape
