Description
This authentic, hand-carved primitive dough bowl (or "trencher") features exceptional texture and a rich, dark-stained patina. Hewn from a single solid block of wood, the piece showcases prominent adze and chisel marks throughout, highlighting its artisanal, folk-art origins.
The bowl features a shallow, elongated basin"”perfect for use as a baguette server, a centerpiece for dried botanicals, or as a standalone sculptural "Wabi-Sabi" element. While the base sits remarkably flat and stable, the upper rim undulates with organic, uneven heights, giving it a soulful, lived-in character. The highest point of the bowl is 2.5 inches. The wood displays a beautiful grain pattern with a prominent central knot, adding to its rugged, earthy appeal.
