Striking flow blue architectural transferware plate featuring a finely rendered view of one of Washington, D.C.'s grand civic landmarks, bordered with a rippled edge and intricate cobalt classical design. This plate was produced by Royal Doulton for The Congressional and imported by The George M. Bowen Co., Silver Spring, Maryland.

The detailed faÃ§ade and balanced composition reflect the enduring elegance of American neoclassical architecture, while the rich cobalt flow blue decoration evokes traditional English transferware styling.
