Still life with a tulip, roses, daffodils and other flowers in a glass vase on a partially draped table by Jean Baptiste Morel (1662, Antwerp - 1732, Brussels).
Morel was a Flemish still life painter renowned for his flower pieces. He was a contemporary of Rachel Ruysch, to whom this painting has been previously attributed. Morel's paintings are preserved in several European museums, notably in Palais de Beaux-Arts de Lille (France) and Wallraf-Richartz Museum in Cologne (Germany).
