Beautiful mid-19th century English Wedgwood blue and white transferware platter featuring an intricate chinoiserie landscape with pagoda, bamboo, bridge and mountain scenery. Produced in Staffordshire during the height of the Victorian export period for the American market, circa 1845–1860.
The deep cobalt transfer and elaborate floral border make this an exceptional decorative piece for wall display, shelving, or a plate gallery.
Marked WEDGWOOD in the clay on the reverse.
Condition: age-appropriate antique condition. Stable hairline from the rim with typical antique crazing to the glaze. Presents beautifully and displays exceptionally well.
