This is a sweet small sized embossed brass box with a Victorian style tavern inside and outside scene that would have traditionally sat beside a fireplace to hold small pieces of wood, coal or other necessities. This one is very clean and was probably not used for that and would be a decorative way to store many things including socks, mittens, potatoes, onions, cleaning supplies or anything you want to hide from sight.

The box is in good condition and the top measures 17 inches by 11 inches and the box itself measures 15 3/4 inches by 9 1/2 inches and the inside measures 14 3/4 inches by 8 3/4 inches by 9 1/2 inches deep and the box is 11 inches high.
