This is a very sweet silver plate casserole holder with four ball feet and a traditional Dutch embossed scene of people enjoying life dancing, playing music and drinking which was made and marked by M.W. Carr Co. who were in business in Boston and West Sommerville, MA from 1870 to 1995. It is holding a Pyrex glass casserole with a nice etched repeating pattern on the top.

The embossed design is wonderful quality and the holder is in good vintage condition with wonderful tarnish and possible silver losses. The casserole opening measures 7 1/2 inches by 5 1/2 inches and 2 1/2 inches high. The casserole has a lip and is a little wider, 8 1/4 inches wide by 6 inches deep and 3 inches high.
