Extremely agile and frequently flying, swallows are commonly associated with spring and summer. Since their migration completes with winter's end they are felt to bring forth the new, and colorful season and thus are symbols of good luck or positive change. This brass wall sculpture captures these good luck birds in active flight. This sculpture is solid brass, artist signed and dated.
This offering consists of 6 brass birds in flight-Three sections complete the sculpture. One, two, and three birds in varying sizes with upward curving 12" "˜tails of flight' mimicking their fast and curving agility.
The sections provide options for design to meet your own personal aesthetic.
Good vintage condition with age and use related wear and scratching throughout.
Size of sculpture is determined by choice of placement. Approximately measures as complete sculpture 20 x 24"

Artist Bio
Bijan (1936-2016) is well known as a major force in the mid-century metal art movement and considered to be "The Father of Metal Sculpture."
Bijan started by renting studio space in an elderly lady's garage. Some of his collectors include Frank Sinatra, Carol Burnett, Joey Bishop among others.
