Description
The Man with the Golden Gun by Ian Fleming. It is the twelfth and final novel in the James Bond series, published posthumously on April 1, 1965, after Fleming's death. He was too ill to complete this last Bond novel before his death; novelist Kingsley Amis was hired to complete it. It was made into the 1975 film starring Roger Moore as Bond, with an all-star cast which included Christopher Lee, Britt Ekland, Maud Adams and Hervé Villachaize.
This artistically styled dust jacket with six die-cut bullet hole design in black, white, and red was designed by Paul Bacon Studio . Paul Bacon was a renowned American book and album cover designer.
This dust jacket was the first published of the two designs for this 1965 US book club edition of The Man with the Golden Gun. It was printed and released before the pastel designs.
