Vintage Hawaiian Coco Joe's Neckace, Good Luck, Symbol, 30", 1970's-1980's. Coco Joe's was located in Punaluu (or Hauula according to maps), Hawaii and was a maker of lava-based and Hawaiian wood-based ("hapawood" or half-wood) resin souvenirs. The company was started in 1960 by Donald R Gallacher (a returning WWII veteran). Coco Joe's continued into the 1980s before going out of business. The pendant is appx. 2.5" with the good luck symbol on one side and the look of a barrel end on the other with the word Love etched in and Coco Joe's and Hapa Wood in the center and Made in Hawaii on the bottom. The chain is a slipover curb link. It is appx. 5mm wide. Very good condition. (W111123.3 SS 13422 J LD 3/8/24).
