together with a Tanto, Meiji period, the blade probably Edo,

dated the 15th year of the Shōwa (1940), the single-edged blade of slightly curved form, with a shallow fuller and engraved panels to either side of the forte containing Japanese characters, including a dated inscription corresponding to the 15th year of the Shōwa era (1940), together with additional presentation-style text, the brass hilt, with integral knuckle guard, the grip cast with stylised floral ornament and ribbing, terminating in a rounded pommel, complete with metal scabbard, finished in olive green paint with suspension band and ring

Condition Report:
The Tanto - The scabbard has scratches and marks to the surface. Some historic repairs to the scabbard and handle. The end of the handle has been reglued. The habaki has been scratched and marked. Slightly misshapen and loose. The blade has some marks and minor nibbles to the edge of the blade.
The Katana - The scabbard is heavily worn with chipping to the paint throughout. Some residue paint splatter to the surface. The katana has some marks to the blade. The brass collar has some scratches and marks to the surface.
Presentation sword - Scabbard with some chipping and marks to the surface. The paint has chipped off in multiple areas. Some residue to the handle. Possible repair to the handle. Heavy markings to the handle and collar. The tip of the blade looks possibly reduced. The collar dented.
