modelled as a lady seated barefoot upon a rococo-moulded base decorated with gilt, wearing a broad brimmed hat, and a white gown with painted flowers and a puce bodice, she craddles a hen in her lap and holds a wicker basket containing eggs, painted in polychrome, with crossed swords mark, incised '231', impressed '144'
