Frankl in 1934 using the highest-quality rattan poles and reeds available and restored by rattan experts to ensure structural integrity and longevity and created for one of Frankl’s elite Hollywood clients. Made of steam-bent rattan poles, the sofa features Frankl’s hallmark decorative wicker woven wrappings of rattan strips. The piece comes from a home Frankl designed in Los Angeles in the mid-to-late 1930s. The price includes these custom cushions and a first-edition copy of Frankl’s book where this is pictured, Space for Living: Creative Interior Decoration and Design (Doubleday Doran, 1938). This is in its original condition from 1934, with a bit of touch up but has remained in its original condition due to its age and significance. This can be impeccably restored at no extra charge by your command and my experts. Cushion covers will be made to your liking. This four-strand Rattan lounge is photographed in Paul T Frankl's book "Space for Living Creative Interior Decoration and Design 1st ed [Hardcover] " Image Fig #121.
