Substantial design piece. Beautifully hand woven basket with tight and smooth wicker workmanship in the shape of a traditional house (a great little architectural item in itself). Carved wood crest across the lid serves as a handle and woven onto a sturdy wooden base.
Perfect for holding blankets, pillows or even toys - anything needing a tidy place.

As an artist from the region, we were extremely selective in the items we chose to collect - only the most distinctive pieces with an authentic and timeless design sensibility.

These were bought in Southeast Asia while living in Hong Kong during the "˜90's, shipped to the U.S. by top international movers in 2003 and kept in temperature controlled storage ever since.
