Restored Early 19th Century Louis XV French Dining Console Table With Drawers
This exquisite table from the early 1800s was acquired during an antique furniture shopping trip to France, and was imported and expertly restored by the team at Walter E. Smithe in Chicago. The import and restoration was completed to furnish a $14M prominent Chicago estate.
The table itself features long center planks with opposing end boards connected with wood pegs. There is a scalloped apron under the tabletop and four intricately carved legs. There is a drawer at each end of the table with oversized unlacquered brass hardware. The table has a beautiful patina full of stories of 200 years of use.
