A mid 19th century American Banjo clock by Simon Willard, Roxbury, Mass. 8-day time only movement with T-Bridge suspension and shouldered plates, painted Iron dial with gold outer edge and Roman numerals. Mahogany case with inlaid edge banding and Eagle finial over a molded Brass dial door, tapered throat panel with Brass face screws and reverse painted glass flanked by shaped Brass side arms, lower door with a reverse painted glass marked "S. Willard, Patent". Older finish with some wear, dial wear, replaced finial, running when cataloged. 34 1/4" high overall. ESTIMATE $2,000-3,000
