Description
Bhutanitis thaidina are endemic to China. These magnificent butterflies are very hard to find and rarely on the market. Thaidina's are a class 2 protected species and rarely imported. Due to deforestation and harm to their habitats, this species is seeing a slow decline of its population size. Visually they are smokey-dark, black butterfly with yellow vein-like stripes, its hindwings show a brush of red and minimal blue-white spots underneath the red. They have 3 tails on each hindwing end, a glorious species! From an older American collection, you will receive this exact specimen spread as shown from the TBC House Collection.
