Here is a stunning and rare c.1990 art glass centerpiece bowl by the well known American glass artist, Phil O'Reilly! It has a beautiful organic modern form, very reminiscent of a giant clam with it's curves and pinches.
O'Reilly studied under the famed American glass artist, Dale Chihuly and is has had several exhibitions both in American and worldwide. This piece is a great scale, measuring 15 1/2" wide, 13 1/4" deep and 6 3/4" tall. It is in very good vintage condition a shown, with age appropriate wear. There are no chips or cracks. There is a straw mark on the bottom of the piece as you can see in the last photograph, this may look at first glance as a crack but it is fully contained within the glass and not a crack, simply an artifact from the glassblowing process.
