Description
Fabulous antique original woodblock print titled Atagoshita YabukÅji (Atagoshita and Yabu Lane), from Hiroshige's famous series Meisho Edo hyakkei (One Hundred Famous Views of Edo.)
It has not been examined out of frame, publishers marks are present on the periphery but faded as you can see. I believe this to be a late 19th century pressing of the woodblock, and the colors are nice and vibrant still.
It measures 10 3/4" wide by 15 1/4" tall total framed size. The frame is a faux bamboo that has been silver gilded. As you can see there is some silver loss and chipping to the top of the frame. Could be touched up or reframed. The print itself appears to be in very good vintage condition.
Condition:
Alterations: Original Condition Unaltered
Imperfections: Some Imperfections
Condition Notes: The frame is a faux bamboo that has been silver gilded. As you can see there is some silver loss and chipping to the top of the frame. Could be touched up or reframed. The print itself appears to be in very good vintage condition.
